Choosing the right psychological expert can sometimes make (or break!) your case. In this practical session, Dr. Jennifer Sweeton walks you through clarifying your referral questions, identifying the credentials and case experience that truly matter, and conducting efficient, revealing expert interviews. The seminar emphasizes concrete questions to ask, red flags to spot early, and a repeatable process you can adapt. Dr. Jennifer Sweeton is a Missouri-licensed forensic and clinical psychologist, neuroscientist, and attorney whose work focuses on trauma, memory, and psychological injury at the intersection of mental health and the law. Originally trained in neuroscience, she completed advanced doctoral training through Stanford University School of Medicine and the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, with additional training through the National Center for PTSD, and holds a master’s degree in personality psychology with an emphasis in affective neuroscience from Stanford. She is internationally recognized for integrating brain science, evidence-informed trauma treatment, and applied judgment in high-stakes clinical and legal contexts. Dr. Sweeton is the author of multiple bestselling books on trauma and brain-based approaches to mental health and is a Missouri-admitted attorney.
This session will be submitted for 1.0 hour of CLE credit in Missouri and Kansas. Kansas credit is pending.
