About the Speaker: Virginia Davis Sánchez graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in English and American Studies. Between undergraduate and law school, she spent a few years working for Kansas City nonprofits serving low-income and immigrant communities and traveled through South America, becoming fluent in Spanish. She then attended UMKC School of Law, graduating in 2021. During law school and for the past four years since earning her law degree, she worked as an associate attorney for a local immigration firm as well as a tenants’ rights attorney. Virginia now works as a solo practitioner in immigration law as well as an IT and cyber security compliance consultant. She lives in Kansas City with her partner and their dog, Janey, and cats, Nadine, Denise, and Diane.
